Hotel Arts could be the best rooftop bar Barcelona has to offer. It is one of the most extensive rooftop terraces in Barcelona, with approximately 10,000 square feet spread over two floors. Here you can relax by the two pools, garden areas, or sunny terraces. It is the perfect place to enjoy the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, beaches, and parts of the vibrant city.

One of the most sophisticated and fashionable rooftop lounges in Barcelona is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail or one of their traditional dishes made with Km0 ingredients. The various Designation of Origin seafood along with fresh in-season produce from the garden offers an exquisite gastronomic selection of meals and light bites. The kitchen’s signature style offers remarkable dishes bursting with flavor, freshness, and coastal flair. It is also an excellent place to end the evening with a cocktail, wine, or champagne while the sets over the city.

BHaven at Barcelo Carmen Hotel, Granada

BHeaven is the rooftop terrace of Barcelo Carmen Hotel, in the heart of Granada. Located on the eighth floor of the hotel, the terrace offers panoramic views over the city, including the famous Alhambra, Generalife, and the snowy mountain tops of the Sierra Nevada mountains. During the day, the terrace is a quiet place to enjoy a drink and a dip in the small pool opened to the hotel’s guests.

When it comes to décor, BHeaven is split into two areas: the lounge, with comfy sofas, and blue bistro furniture for the dining area. There is a lot of greenery around, which gives the terrace a garden-like feel.

The terrace is a restaurant as well, offering a fusion menu of reinvented Andalucian dishes. The gazpacho is particularly tasty and presented in a very delicate and innovative way. Their deconstructed pina colada is a fun way to interact with the food you’re eating. The bar has an extensive cocktail menu, mostly based on fruits and botanicals. They also serve local drinks such as wine from the Alpujarra region or Alhambra beer.

The terrace has different events during the week, from happy hours to Mojito nights, from live music to cooking demonstrations. No matter if you stay at the Barcelo Carmen during your weekend in Granada or not, you must pass by BHeaven for a drink with a view.

Circulo de Bellas Artes, Madrid

The rooftop (Azotea) at the Circulo de Bellas Artes offers some of the best panoramic views in Madrid.  From its location at Alcala Street, a 360 degrees view including terracotta rooftops, La Gran Via, the Cibeles Palace, and the Sierra de Guadarrama can be enjoyed.

The Circulo is a multidisciplinary center with some of the most complete cultural offerings in Spain’s capital.  Daily programs related to arts, theatre, music, literature, and cinema are available to the public.

To access the rooftop, a local gathering place, tickets must be bought at the building’s lobby.  Then, a designated elevator, with crystal doors, takes visitors to the open space.

Even though people are attracted to the terrace because of the mesmerizing views, an imposing statue of Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and emblem of the Circulo, adds to the charm of the place.

Visitors can sit down for lunch and dinner at the on-site restaurant serving tapas and Mediterranean dishes.  Those looking for a more casual experience can order drinks at the bar and sit down in a variety of high and low chairs.

The rooftop is open from midday to midnight during the week and from midday to 2:30 am on weekends.  Therefore, it is a great option to consider watching the sunset (while sipping cocktails) or late at night after a tapas crawl. Check out my Two Weeks in Spain Itinerary here.

Seville, on its own, is a unique experience. Possibly one of the most charming cities in Spain. Nightlife is an essential part of a visit to Seville. It’s not just for the tourists, the locals also love to spend their nights out in the city. You will not see empty streets after 10 pm in Seville, no matter what part of the year it is.

La Terraza de EME is the best rooftop terrace in the city, without question. It is located right near Seville’s most emblematic monument, the Cathedral of Seville, and its stunning bell tower, La Giralda. The rooftop of the EME Cathedral Hotel is really popular between those who are visiting the city as well as the locals for many reasons!

The sophisticated, elegant atmosphere, the music, the famous cocktails, and an unbelievable panoramic view of one of the most stunning masterpieces of the Mudejar architecture, and the skyline of Seville is offering an unforgettable experience in the capital city of Andalusia.

The rooftop terrace is set over two levels, and no matter where you are seated, you will always have the best view! La Terraza de EME is open 365 days a year, and during the summer, they are serving fantastic dishes in the evening hours. You can also enjoy the view from the pool of the rooftop if you are a guest in the hotel. This terrace is an unmissable experience!
